Quarterly Essay is a trailblazing Australian political journal. Each issue contains a single essay written at a length of about 25,000 words plus correspondence relating to the previous issue. QE aims to present the widest range of political, intellectual and cultural opinion. Several QEs have won literary awards. Highlight authors include Germaine Greer, Tim Flannery, Don Watson, Mungo MacCallum and many more.
